Hey everyone,
I know I haven't posted in a while, so sorry. :( I have a few cool things I may post about but I'll start with Google Wave. I'm pretty excited for it to come out because it seems like a big step for online communication. I watched the first 20 minutes or so of their presentation on it during my lunch break and man does it look cool!
I guess I can best describe Wave as a convergence of email and instant messaging with a few added features. Those features include replying anywhere in a message thread (or "Wave"), dynamically adding people to the Wave, the ability for everyone included in a Wave to see its entire contents (excluding private messages), embedding media via drag and drop, and most importantly, everyone in a Wave can (optionally) see what others are currently doing down to the keystroke.
True, there are applications out there with some of these features, but this application consolidates them into a single tool. It is also web-based and uses the latest HTML 5 web programming, so it should be accessible anywhere. I definitely see this being very useful for personal and work use.
Google is open-sourcing this application and also providing an API, so programmers can easily take advantage of its features.
I explained all of this on a very high level. To really understand it, I recommend watching their presentation and reading their materials at

Thanks for reading! I will probably post again soon because there are a lot of cool developments in technology this year.
